Our vision for Cara lee Community School is for: Parents to have a mighty voice in their child's education. Teachers to have the opportunities to be highly qualified, and. Opportunities are provided for all students to confront their physical, emotional, social and academic needs. An academic extension program is provided for these students, and their individual progress is monitored throughout their years at Primary School. The Cara lee Academic Extension Program was evolved to further thrive the skills and abilities of our talented students by providing an environment that provides challenge, and where students can labor with peers who share similar interests, aspirations and abilities. The students face as a group with the teacher on a weekly basis during school hours, where it acknowledges the need for differentiated curriculum and learning opportunities for tall achieving students, providing a positive, challenging, stimulating and supportive classroom environment. The teacher and Deputy Principal in the Academic Extension Program meets regularly to share expertise, to feedback student progress, and to coordinate activities across the key learning areas. In addition to this the teacher provides individual mentoring to participating students. Students at Cara lee Community School have a diverse and unique range of nationalities and cultural backgrounds. Peace Day is a day of cultural respect for everyone who calls Australia home from the customary owners of this land to those who have come from many countries around the world. Every class at Cara lee Community School has an interactive whiteboard which teachers use to promote learning in their classrooms. All classes have additional computers in the classroom which children can access regularly for research and word processing tasks. Students at Cara lee have the opportunity to learn about Italian cuisines and are qualified to participate in cooking classes with the teacher. At Cara lee Community School, all students from years 1 to 7 receive piece in a fifty minute session of the Visual Arts each week. Selected students from years 4 7 were given the opportunity to draw the design on the poster and we had assistance from another Visual Arts Teacher to increase color and paint to the poster. Cara lee Community School considers itself most fortunate to have an energetic Canteen running every day of the school week. The School Council and the PC concur and work closely for the overall benefit of the school community. We have a team of competent and passionate Educators who are committed to providing a lofty quality and inclusive environment for all school aged children. The Parents and Citizens Association (PC) of Cara lee Community School brings parents, staff and other members of the community together, to advance the superior interests of the School and its students. The PC successfully supports and enriches the quality education of our students through: All the splendid parents, supporters and committee members of the Cara lee PC who dedicate their time and energy into fund raising for our school.
